OROFINO MAINSTREET INPUT NEEDED
The Idaho Department of Commerce chose Orofino as one of three cities selected to compete to be awarded a Main Street America Transformation Strategy Workshop. Last week, we were notified that Orofino was selected. This initiative, at no cost to the city, is designed to support community-led economic growth and create sustainable, revitalized downtowns through focused strategy and resource alignment. This seems to be a solid next step toward the Orofino Downtown Revitalization process with a great way to refine what the future of downtown Orofino should look like.
WE NEED YOUR INPUT for this process and will also be looking for people to be part of the focus groups on June 17th.

I was at the Main Street America conference in Philadelphia earlier this month and the work they do is amazing and seems to be a fantastic template to move along the process downtown.

Last year, at the Main Street Conference, she had the opportunity to tour Wetumpka, AL, as part of a mobile workshop. This community received incredible support and guidance from HGTV, but what stood out most during the tour was how the entire community came together under the Mayor’s leadership.
